🚓 In a significant step towards enhancing road safety, the Ropaži Municipality Police has commenced speed monitoring within the region.
📅 Since the summer of 2023, local municipality police forces in Latvia have been empowered to monitor driving speeds and hold offenders accountable. Previously, complaints from Ropaži residents regarding speed violations were forwarded to the State Police.
💡 Recognizing the need for immediate action, the Ropaži Municipality Police, with the support of the local government, reviewed its budget and allocated resources to equip one of its operational vehicles with an innovative speed monitoring device supplied by Eunomia Traffic AG. Starting November, the municipality police will independently oversee speed compliance in the administrative area of Ropaži!
